Video Searchable Aquarium in Japan

Coronavirus pandemic affects all areas of life. Many people now work from home, the vast majority of shops are closed, museums, cafes are closed, concerts are canceled. In such a situation, an unexpected call came from an aquarium in Japan.

According to the news published by The Next Web, eels in the Tokyo Sumida Aquarium “forgot” people. Snakes, which were with the visitors before the coronavirus pandemic, started to have hard times when the aquarium was closed to visitors. Eel fish that forget about people are now hiding from them when the caregivers arrive. For this reason, the aquarium, which has issued a special announcement, asks people to call eels by video.

Aquarium staff will mount tablet computers around the aquarium with eels, and when people search for eels, they will be able to wave and talk to them in a "soft" tone.
