According to the news published by the Daily Mail, Britain plans to reduce air pollution with artificial traffic lights. These traffic lights will slow the entry of vehicles into areas with polluted air.

System; roadside sensors will measure traffic and air pollution on the roads through weather forecasts and Bluetooth devices in vehicles. The algorithm, on the other hand, will analyze whether the air pollution will increase one hour later, based on both instant and historical data.

If the system predicts that air pollution will increase, the times of traffic lights will change automatically.

Drivers traveling to airy areas will wait up to 20 seconds longer at traffic lights. For drivers moving away from the air pollution zone, the green light will be on for a longer time.
